Your spray tan should last anywhere from 4 to 10 days. This can vary due to the strength of your tanning solution and how well you prepare your skin before the session. Applying moisturizer after spray tanning can also help the tan last longer. It’s recommended to only get an airbrush tan around once a week.

In the days leading up to your tanning session, make sure you are taking care of your skin. The healthier your skin is, the longer the tan will stay on. The tan will eventually and naturally fade as your skin cells renew and the older, tanned ones fall away. This is why it is a good idea to exfoliate your skin before your session. You want to make sure your skin is fresh so the layer of skin that gets sprayed will be around longer. Moisturizing your skin well during the days leading up to your tanning will also help with the overall look of your skin once the tan is finished. The best way to prepare is to take care of yourself. Drink a healthy amount of water before and after your tanning session.

We always recommend bringing loose-fitting clothing for your session. Yes, our custom airbrush tanning dries more quickly than others do, but it’s always a good idea to keep on the side of caution. After your tanning session, the solution on your skin will need some time to develop its color. Eight to 12 hours will be enough time for any custom airbrush tan to settle into the color you want. After 12 hours, you can shower without worrying about washing away your new tan.
