Waxing ~ Tampa, Florida

Shaving every day can be burdensome, if not near impossible. With waxing, you can expect more free time in your daily self-care routine. This method of hair removal has more likelihood of pulling the hair out at the root. When this happens, you won’t have to worry about that hair for at least another 6 weeks. Waxing is also a lot less painful and less expensive than other hair removal options like laser hair removal.

Facial Hair Wax

Having well-groomed eyebrows can easily enhance your natural features. Maintained eyebrows can also put the focus on your eyes. To reach these goals, many people are turning to eyebrow waxing. Brow waxing is an easy way to keep maintained eyebrows for a significant amount of time. Professional waxing also takes the pressure off of you to successfully create the stunning look without going too far. No one wants to be stuck with misshapen eyebrows due to self-waxing or tweezing. At Skin Radiance Med Spa, you can expect only the best work with any facial waxing.

We know the best waxes to use to carefully remove any unwanted hair from your upper lip. A lip waxing can be irritating, depending on your pain threshold. However, hair removal only lasts for a brief second yet gives you results that last longer than shaving. It’s a good idea to wax regularly to minimize discomfort.

For the rest of your face, we do offer facial hair removal. Whether you have unwanted hair on your cheeks, chin, brow, or upper lip area, we can help you by professionally and carefully removing it.

How Long Does Waxing Last?

When the root of the hair is removed during waxing, you won’t have to think about that hair for another 6 weeks. However, this is not always the case. You might notice some soft hair growing back sooner than that. This happens because sometimes the hair breaks during waxing so the root is never removed. Though frustrating, the hair will be softer growing back than when you shave. Shaving creates an especially sharp end of each hair strand, which we would all love to avoid – especially around the face area.

How quickly your hair grows back mainly depends on your own genes. Hair growth can be extremely slow for some people, while it can be relatively quick for others. The specific area being waxed will also differ from other areas. For example, your upper lip may have slower hair growth than brow hair does.

Waxing every 2 to 4 weeks will give you the best results. Eventually, all of the unwanted hair will be pulled out from the root. When this happens, the follicle will be damaged. The hair growing back will be finer than before, or it won’t grow back at all.

How to Best Prepare for a Wax

First, please make sure your skin is healthy before a waxing session. If you have any broken skin or inflammation, you will want to reschedule your waxing appointment. If you have any spots, such as moles or beauty marks, let us know so that we can protect that area while waxing.

Go ahead and let your hair grow long enough to be gripped. If your hair is too short, your waxing session will not go as smoothly as it could. In addition to letting your hair grow out, you should moisturize your skin and avoid retinol products. The healthier your skin, the easier and more beneficial the process will be.
